Christmas Together Again!!

Haven't posted in FOREVER! There is just too much to catch up on right now, but I just wanted to post these pictures of my sweet Noah. We had a great first Christmas in our new place. It was so nice to be together as a family and not have to travel at Christmas to see each other. Also this Christmas Eve we got to see our nephew Nathan (who is 16) be baptized. What a neat experience, and great way to feel the spirit at Christmas.

Boots

I recently gave a friend of mine a pair of Jon's police boots that he was no longer using (they use different ones at the department he works for now) to give to her son. He son is interested in becoming a police officer and she said he was excited to get them. Then she told me (with tears in her eyes) that she had thought about her son having those boots and that what she wished for him is that someday he would "fill" Jon's boots. Now mind you her son already wears the same size shoe as my husband...she was telling me that she hoped someday her son would turn out to be like my husband. I just wanted to write this down today so I would remember it. I want to thank that friend for telling me something so sweet and heartfelt, and I want to thank my husband for being someone young men can look up to. He is of course not perfect (because none of us are), but he is a good man and he tries very hard to do the right thing (even when it has made things difficult for him). I also wanted to remember that I am so lucky to have a good husband, and a good friend.

SOLD!

Well, not quite...but it's as close as we have come so I'll take it. Our house is UNDER CONTRACT. We have finished most of the inspections without a single hiccup and I am thinking this is really going to happen. We should settle on February 9th and would moved out on the 10th and 11th. Jon, Anne and Rich will take the U hauls up to Northern Utah on the 11th and I will most likely move in with my parents in the middle of St. George for a bit. We don't want to get stuck in a six month lease on a rental while we get our loan funded and close on a new place....so off to mom and dads Noah and I will go. Hopefully it will only be for a few weeks, but we shall see. I am so excited that I will be living with my husband again soon and that we will get to be our own little family in our own place soon...but I am still very sad to be leaving Southern Utah and all of my amazing friends and family here. I am a big ball full of all kinds of feelings right now, but mainly I am so very thankful that the home has sold and I want to say a big thank you to all of those who I know were keeping us in your prayers. Love to you all!
